In this society it seems to be a big problem to be born as female child. Illiterate people specially the father of the child work as a villain in her family. They don’t want female child as they think it is a burden on them.  This child is a symbol of cost. It doesn't earn rather makes cost only. So, the illiterate persons don't want girl child. They also know when daughter get married then the father have to pay a big amount of cash and others thinks as a form of dowry. So, it is the most common reason to dislike girl child.

Another reason is income. They think that a girl cannot earn money for herself and  it is working as master cause of this problem.

They also think that primary education is enough for a girl. They don’t need higher education because they will go to husbands house after marriage. She cannot fill up her father’s needs.

For this reasons they don't want female child and don’t behave well with them. They don’t try to understand that the girls are also human being. The current context of Bangladesh that the prime minister, speaker, education minister, state minister of post and telecommunications divisions are female. They are not burden for the society and the families. If other daughters get the necessary opportunities they will become resource for us.
